I’m having an instance of the dreaded writer’s block… With this, my blog, anyway… I really have been writing a lot of pieces, but I’m afraid to post it because I really don’t think it’s “Book worthy”… which is my way of saying I am insecure. New Years resolution, post something by Friday. This Friday.
I’m still writing lots though, I’m currently developing the Podcast version of My House on The Moon with my best friend Tim Drake, who you will all meet soon. I’m also writing a television program with him. Maybe I’ll tell you about the show once it’s a little more developed and registered with the writer’s guild.
I read a book last week called The Craft of Comedy Writing by Sol Saks. Incredible book, by the way, especially for anyone interested in writing as a means for an income. Anyway, he says that the worst thing you will ever write is better than the best thing you didn’t write. I guess the same goes for posting, you’ll never know my gold nuggets that I don’t post, so I should throw it all up and see what sticks. right? or write I should say, heh!
We are in the final stages of preparation for the Podcast, which should be so much fun! It has been a while since I came up with the idea for the blog, and ever since, I have wanted to record it and let you all hear it right from me and my friend Tim. So we started writing. And it’s good. We are getting together on Thursday to either finish writing and record, or just write… Hopefully we’ll get something on tape for you!
Pictures at least will come, so stay tuned!
PS. To those who don’t know who Vera is, this letter is written to Vera Miles, from Hitchcock’s Psycho. She is so sexy, don’t you think? Man, if I was only 81 years old…
